My new book 100 Places in France Every Woman Should Go from Travelers Tales comes out at the end of October. It consists of 100 essays, stories, and advice on my favorite places in France as well as reflections on some of the country’s great women, staring with Joan of Arc up through Catherine de’Medici, to Edith Piaf, Amélie and even Carla Bruni (I love her music). This book digs deeply into the stories behind the place, and it’s for everyone: the first time traveler to France as well as the most sophisticated Francophile. Lots of the stories come from my unforgettable years living and working in Paris, and many of them are entirely new discoveries. I’d love to hear from you about the places you love in France, your favorite spot for a coffee in the sun, or the French woman in history whom you admire most.

Whether traveling by jet, or simply by imagination, you will savor this ride, perhaps along with a glass of fine champagne or the perfect demitasse. I loved it.”
